For homework, we have the original Pitch Perfect.
And that’s it. The Shoot the Glass podcast! With Pete and Justin!
It’s all about Avengers: Age of Ultron this week, dear listeners! We talk about it, we have a spoiler section for it, and after the show is over we think of lots of clever and interesting things we didn’t say about it.
Ahh, well… happens every time!
We also talk TV with Better Call Saul and Daredevil and discuss a bet that Pete made with friend of the show James Croft over what order the tentpole blockbusters will rank in the box-office take this year. And even though we don’t normally go into marketing and stuff in much depth, we couldn’t help but talk about the trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Jurassic World and Mad Max: Fury Road.
For homework, we have the Elizabeth Olsen-starring films Martha Marcy May Marlene and Liberal Arts. And the opposite of homework is Stranded, starring Christian Slater. Do not watch this film. You have been warned.
Finally, Pete hooks us up with a clip from an FX house that decided to re-colourise the bleached palette of Man of Steel. Looks like the added some more fun if you ask me!
So get to the cinema early with Pete and Justin so we can collectively notice that franchise titles sure do go nuts on the colons, don’t they? And they’re all franchise movies now, aren’t they? And movie trailers sure are full of percussion these days, am I wrong? And the popcorn and choc-tops? That’s how they get you.
So why don’t we get you out of these wet clothes and… hey! Don’t be scared baby! That noise was just the wind. There’s nobody out here at Murder Creek except you and me… and Pete and Justin on the Shoot The Glass podcast!
Hello, dear listeners!
This week we talk a lot of telly with the Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (again!), and the return of Community. We also chat about Netflix landing in Oz and manage to recommend Henry V, Drunken Master 2 and Police Story 2 along the way.
Finally Pete hooks us up with the straight dope on a certain powerful and litigious organisation with the website Xenu.net.
So come and take a free test that will improve your life with Pete and Justin on the Shoot The Glass Podcast!
This week we talk SpongeBob SquarePants: Sponge Out of Water, Liam Neeson actioner Run All Night, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (not starring Tina Fey), doco series The Jinx, and Blomkamp’s latest sci-fi flick Chappie, even though neither of us saw it.
I also introduce a Shit Game of the Week that is, quite frankly, a tragedy of bad hostmanship. That’s a word, right? Hostmanship? Anyway.
A valuable lesson was learned.
So strap on your floaties and come flounder in the ocean with Pete and Justin on the Shoot The Glass Podcast!
This week we talk the 2015 Oscars and then examine a film the Academy cruelly snubbed: Jupiter Ascending.
For homework there’s Flash Gordon. We had some other films too but we didn’t really mean them…
So put on your fanciest frock or sharpest suit and come gawk at them beautiful people on the red carpet with Pete and Justin on the Shoot The Glass podcast!
For homework it’s any Coens film at all but especially The Big Lebowski along with Pete’s favourite from 2013 The Spectacular Now, Pete’s other even older favourite Trust, and my even older favourite still, Blue Velvet.
So if you don’t give me a perfect flam on that snare right now you’re out on your arse with all the other losers! You don’t have what it takes to attend Pete and Justin’s School of Drumming!
But you’re always welcome at the Shoot The Glass podcast.
This week we talk about Jon Stewart’s feature debut as both writer and director in Rosewater, Reese Witherspoon going bush in Wild, and the based-on-real-life tale of something-or-other in Foxcatcher.
So come and board the express-train to self-discovery with Pete and Justin on the Shoot the Glass podcast!
Winners don’t use guns, kids.
Except in the movies! In the movies, all the winners use guns! Yay guns!
This week we talk about Keanu’s big comeback in John Wick, Eastwood’s take on a real life war-hero in American Sniper, and an ex-superhero-actor playing an ex-superhero-actor in Birdman. Pete also watched the Annotated Star Wars, which is pretty cool.
So come sit under the tree on the hill with Pete and Justin and take another drink… ’cause we all have it coming, kid.
